Salvus Strategic Investments Limited (SSI) is a unique listed investment company set up to invest in a diversified portfolio of securities in the New Zealand smaller company sector.

The investment objective of SSI is to provide investors with an exposure to a portfolio of investments that will achieve investment returns (when measured by reference to the net asset value per share of SSI) that are superior to the performance of a composite benchmark index comprising the NZX SmallCap Capital Index and the NZX MidCap Capital Index.

In addition to listed companies, SSI may also invest in selected unlisted companies which may or may not be planning to list on the NZSX or NZAX. The unlisted companies in which SSI may seek to invest will often not be accessible to individual retail investors.

SSI will provide exposure to a diversified portfolio of smaller company investments within a single investment. There are only a limited number of funds that currently offer focused exposure to this market segment.

SSI will be managed by Salvus Asset Management Limited whose fund managers have valuable international and New Zealand experience investing in smaller companies.
